The Steamvac also works on linoleum! Granted, you may not wish to use it as you primary method for washing floors, but it’s great for a periodic steam cleaning. You have the option to turn the rotation of the brushes off if you’re concerned about them on your floors. The cleaning solution also does a fantastic job and leaves the linoleum gleaming and shiny.
If you have carpet, and especially if you have an indoor pet, you’ll get lots of use and value out of the SteamVac.

As always, Hoover is top-of-the-line. This version cleans better than the previous models and the buttons and foot release lever are more accessible. The only suggestion that could be made is the waste tank handle, which could be improved with the next model. When one goes to lift the tank, it tilts forward, with nothing holding the lid on. But this has no bearing on performance, which is outstanding. Splurge on the model! It’s worth every penny.

My carpet looks wonderful. I’m convinced that if I spent more time on it, especially pre-treating, it would look even more wonderful, but who has unlimited time? Overall the Bissell 9500 was easy to use, a pleasure really. It’s not too heavy for me and I’m quite small. All the plastic on it seems very thick and durable, and it’s even kind of pretty–an amazing machine.
